Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tablespoon Cajun Seasoning
- 1 1/2 cups long grain rice
- 3 1/2 cups beef broth
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Beef: In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it’s no longer pink, breaking it into crumbles.
Sauté the Vegetables: Add the diced onion, bell pepper, celery, and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until the vegetables begin to soften, stirring occasionally.
Combine and Cook: Mix in the Cajun seasoning and rice, ensuring they are well integrated with the meat and vegetables. Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
Simmer to Perfection: Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the rice simmer for 20 minutes, or until it’s tender and fluffy. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Final Touches: Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and season with salt to taste. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley or green onions for an extra pop of color and freshness.
